Welcome to 2019 Bangkok International Forum-Agriculture, Biology, and Life Science

 

Welcome to the official site of the 2019 Bangkok International Forum-Agriculture, Biology and Life Science (IFABL-Bangkok 2019). The conference will be held in Bangkok, Thailand during March 15-17, 2019. The aim of IFABL-Bangkok 2019 is to present the latest researches related to agriculture, biology and life science topics. This conference provides opportunities for delegates from different disciplines to exchange new ideas and applications face to face, to establish business or research network and to look for global partners for future collaboration. It is anticipated that a broad range of research and applied topics will be covered during the conference.

We welcome both full-length papers and abstracts. Manuscripts must be submitted online through the conference management system. All submissions will be reviewed by at least two independent peers for technical merit and content. We invite scholars, experts and professionals from agriculture, biology and life science to join us.

Professor Sasithara Pichaichannarong

Professor Sasithara Pichaichannarong

Rector of College of Tourism and Hospitality, Rangsit University, Thailand.

Dr. Sasithara Pichaichannarong is at present Rector of College of Tourism and Hospitality, Rangsit University, Thailand. She had her Master and Ph.D. Degrees from Sorbonne University in Paris, France. She had served as Deputy Permanent Delegate of Thailand to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization from 1996 to 1998 and has vast experiences in various fields ranging from Tourism to Education. She was appointed Deputy Director General of the Physical Education Department in 1999, then Director General of the Tourism Department in 2003 and Permanent Secretary of Thailand for Tourism and Sports in 2007 and for Education in 2014. Her experience in the field of tourism and her dedication to creating a healthy and positive environment within which the tourism industry in Thailand can grow and flourish has been recognized in the special assignments she has spearheaded over the years.

Professor Piyawadee Saraphirom

Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University, Thailand

Dr. Piyawadee Saraphirom is an assistant professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University. She graduated with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology from Khon Kaen University in 2011. Dr. Piyawadee is the vice dean of faculty of science and technology, responsible for the academic and educational quality assurance since 2015. Her research fields focus on hydrogen and bio-energy production, waste utilization through biological processes and agricultural biotechnology. Dr. Piyawadee has published more than ten research articles in various international journals and participated in numerous academic associations including the Thai Society of Biotechnology (TSB), Thailand Research Fund (TRF), biofuels and value added substances from agricultural biomass research group, the office of the higher education commission, Thailand. She is the coordinator of the 8th Conference on Taxonomy and Systematics in Thailand (TST 2018). She is also the assistant editor of the Science and Technology Journal of Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University and editor of the Science Center Journal of News Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University. She also works on an editorial board and serves as a peer reviewer for multiple national and international scientific and technological journals. Presently, she attends as an educational quality assurance evaluator of the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Thailand.

Dr. Jia-Fure Wang is the Director of Ph. D. Program in Business Administration at China-ASEAN International College of Dhurakij Pundit University in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Wang obtained his Ph.D. degree in National Taipei University, Taiwan. His research fields include consumer behavior, organizational behavior, and marketing, etc. His research papers have been published in academic journals including Cogent Economics and Finance.

Dr. Chunghuey Huang currently works at the Department of Accountancy, National Taipei University. Professor Huang focuses her research in capital market, earnings management, and international financial accounting standards. She served as the Chairperson of Department of Accountancy during 2006 to 2009, and was also in charge of the AACSB office in Business School, National Taipei University. Professor Huang has served as an independent director for various public companies. Dr. Huang got her Ph.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in USA, Master degree from National Chen Chi University, and Bachelor degree from National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan, respectively. She published several papers in the following journals including NTU Management Review, Taiwan Accounting Review, Soochow Journal of Economics and Business, Contemporary Management Research, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, and International Journal of Business and Information.

Dr. Ching-Chou Chen is a professor of Dhurakij Pundit University in Thailand. He served as the deputy Dean of China-ASEAN International College (CAIC) during 2017 to 2018, and the Director of Ph. D. Program in Business Administration from 2016 to 2017. Dr. Chen earned his Ph. D. degree in Department of Business Administration, National Dong Hwa University, MBA degree from National Sun Yat-sen University, and B. S. degree of Science in Civil and Construction Engineering from National Taiwan Institute of Technology (Currently changed its name to National Taiwan University of Science and Technology), Taiwan, respectively. Dr. Chen focuses his research on organizational behavior, strategic management, and marketing.

Dr. Kelvin C. K. Lam

Dr. Kelvin C. K. Lam

Dhurakij Pundit University, Thailand

Dr. Kelvin C. K. Lam is a professor of Dhurakij Pundit University in Thailand. He is the Dean of CHINA-ASEAN International College (CAIC), Dhurakij Pundit University since 2017. He served as the Assistant Director of Research and Development Center, Acting Director of Research and Development Center, and Director of Chinese MBA Program during 2011 to 2013 in Stamford International University. After that, Dr. Lam joined Dhurakij Pundit University and became Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, China-ASEAN International College. Dr. Lam earned his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in University of South Australia, Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Louisiana at Monroe, and Honours Diploma of Business Administration and Management from Hong Kong Shue Yan University, respectively. Dr. Lam is an expert in cross-cultural studies, international management, and conflict resolution.
